Enhanced tier venues and events
If 800 or more people can reasonably be present at once, the enhanced tier duties apply, unless your premises are a type always treated as standard tier, such as a place of worship or school. They go well beyond procedures, so we connect you with a specialist rather than selling you a template.
What the enhanced tier involves
As well as the four public protection procedures, enhanced tier premises and qualifying events need public protection measures covering monitoring, the movement of people, physical safety and security, and security of information, where reasonably practicable.
Compliance must be documented and submitted to the Security Industry Authority (SIA), and organisations must designate a senior individual. Penalties can reach £18 million or 5% of qualifying worldwide revenue, whichever is higher.
How the introduction works
Tell us about your premises or event. With your permission, we pass your details to a security consultancy that works with venues of your size, and they contact you directly to discuss your needs and quote. There is no cost to you for the introduction.
We may receive a fee from the consultancy if you go ahead. This never changes the price you pay.
